The "I Quit" Message That Lizzo Sent Had Absolutely Nothing To Do With Her Leaving Social Media Or Her Music Career, She Admits.

Lizzo returned to social media days after allegedly announcing her career resignation to explain why. Her fans are relieved, but the comments that sparked her angry message have returned.

Lizzo recently went viral by responding to online critics with a furious Instagram post.

The 35-year-old singer and fashion designer closed the emotional statement with "I quit," prompting many to fear she was quitting.

The post came after Lizzo's appearance at a fundraiser for President Joe Biden drew heavy criticism.

Those angered by the Biden Administration's actions in Gaza criticized Lizzo for supporting Biden, while those angry over former employees' harassment allegations criticized the hiring decision.

The day after the fundraiser, Lizzo wrote, "I'm getting tired of being dragged by everyone in my life and on the internet.

"But I’m starting to feel like the world doesn’t want me in it," she said, pointing out "lies being told about me for clout & views" & "being the butt of the joke every single time because of how I look."

It was widely believed that Lizzo was abandoning the entertainment world or social media after her tweet.
