Regina Hall is cast as the lead opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in Paul Thomas Anderson's untitled new film for Warner Bros.

Regina Hall has landed a major new part in an upcoming Paul Thomas Anderson picture at Warner Bros. 

Hall has been cast as the lead in the upcoming picture, alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Sean Penn 

The project's details are being kept under wraps, and according to the Deadline exclusive report 

no description or logline is currently available.Production on the film will begin later this year in California.  

Anderson wrote the script and will produce the film, which is presently untitled, alongside Sara Murphy and Adam Somner. 

Though narrative details remain unknown, Deadline reports 

"We have learned that it is a contemporary setting and the most commercial one PTA has attempted, with a commensurate budget." 

And, while Hall, DiCaprio, and Penn play the leads, the picture is expected to have a large ensemble cast that will shortly assemble and line up. 

Hall's portfolio recently included Peaocok's The Best Man: The Final Chapters and the critically acclaimed Honk for Jesus. Save your soul.  

She will soon appear in the Searchlight rock opera film Odessa, alongside Kelvin Harrison Jr., Murray Bartlett, and Sadie Sink.
